One of our favorite things to participate in at EdgeRock is charity. Whether we’re going to a charity event or hosting a drive, we try to give back to our community as much as possible. Each quarter we try to do at least one, if not more, charity activity within the office.

This quarter, Boston EdgeRockers supported Volunteers of America, Massachusetts’ annual Operation Backpack. Operation Backpacks mission is to provide disadvantaged children in all grades with essential tools for the upcoming school year.

EdgeRockers donated money to purchase the backpacks and supplies. Once the charity committee purchased the supplies, we spent time assembling the backpacks. Our charity committee set up an assembly line for employees to walk through and fill backpacks with the supplies needed. This year, we were able to fill 15 backpacks for the school year!

Once the bags were packed, we delivered them to Volunteers of America, Massachusetts’ site to drop off our bags.
